| Making dairy delivery and consumption safer in the times of COVID-19
India is the world’s largest milk producer with around 70 million small-scale producers. Dairy is an important part of the Indian food diet. Each household has fresh milk delivered to their doorstep each morning from these small scale producers. This heavily analog system has not kept up as the world around them digitises. COVID-19 also forced households to shift to packaged milk from bigger companies causing loss of opportunities for the smaller households.

How might we digitize a heavily analog approach of milk delivery in an efficient manner to bring more opportunities for the small scale producers?
The Solution
Baviano
An app which bridges the gap between the consumer and the small scale producer.
We did a quick alignment of the different needs with that of the business.
The Consumer
Small Scale Producer
Bringing in Baviano

Build trust in
products & app
Building it out
I started playing around with different elements that we could leverage on for our branding. Some of the key concepts that were explored were the idea of a drop, of a 'fresh' sunrise everyday, love and purity of thr food. Happiness was the feeling that tied it all together.
Rough doodles, taking them digital with Adobe Illustrator and the final logo playing on the city of Banaras.
Quick wireframes to build out the flow
This helped getting the tech team and the business head on the same page before I jumped into execution.
Quick sign in
Only a phone sign up is required to get started on the app.
Selecting a plan for subscription
Easy selection of days and products, the way you want it. Easily editable later- a three step process makes it a smooth journey.
Home screen banners for quick access information
Personalised Home Screen
Vacation Mode: On
Low Balance Alert
Usual Home Screen Banner
A fun approach
While big buttons make the CTAs stand out, the cow adds a little extra delight to the app.
Profile Page
No connection error screen
Sharing the app screen

What I learnt
A unique style for a small city.
While working on the user interface of the app, I realised that I needed to 'jazz it up' basis feedback from our virtual protoyping sessions. Just keeping a minimalistic style wasn't enough, thus I added the drip to the top of every screen- something I would have usually avoided at all costs. This helped me realise the value of each market and their choices.
